Three and a half years ago I saw André Rieu for
the first time on my local PBS station. It was "Live in Dublin" along
with his incredible expressions, that got me hooked on André!
Now I
listen to his music every moment that I can and never get tired of
hearing him play. I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest for the last 12
years. Previously, my husband & I lived in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I’ve moved 53 times in my life and I look at it like I was on an endless
adventure!
I own my own business and my hobbies are writing, reading, art, painting
birdhouses and listening to
André Rieu.

Sometime in early
2005, I was flipping channels & stumbled across a young lady walking
onto a stage, in the background was an orchestra with the ladies in
beautiful pastel colored gowns...that caught my attention & I continued
watching
It was Carmen Monarcha singing Oh Mio
Babbino Caro as part of the Tuscany DVD. As I watched & listened,
completely enthralled; I jumped out of my seat, scrambling to load my
VHS video player & begin recording what remained of enchanting musical
program
A couple of days later, I did an internet
search for André Rieu which led me to his website. I ordered Tuscany
DVD. I then purchased a DVD player.
I posted a message on André's website &
included my email address, Sally noticed it & sent me an email letting
me know of the existence to her website where fans of André congregate.
A few months later, Channel 8 announced a fund
raising effort that included a ticket to an André concert right here in
Phoenix... The rest is history

I have been a fan of
André for only a
little over two years but I feel I have loved him all my life. I cannot
imagine my life without his music. I moved home to Pennsylvania a few
years ago after living in Fort Myers, Florida for over 10 years.
Besides devoting my free time to promoting André my hobbies are scrap
booking,
music, and future violin lessons!
I also give free Hugs.

It was 2005, at our Christmas concert, they turned down
the lights, placed the spotlight on André and those
bells rang out .. then André started to play …
the solo … the sound, most beautiful … how to describe a sound
so special as a violin solo from André Rieu? There are
moments we don’t want to end, this was one of those
moments.
There was total silence as
André stood on the stage
and
then the bow touched the violin and the music was as
though there was nothing that could stop it. You could
hear a pin drop as we listened to this beautiful moment.
As I heard this melody, I closed my eyes and his solo
touched my heart and gave me goosebumps. There is just
something very special about this song, above all others
that I hear…I can’t explain it, truly, it just captures
me.
