In 1997 I was trying to tape some
music off TV for the ladies at the retirement home where
I work as a caregiver. As I was flipping the channels, I
came upon PBS playing a beautiful "Merry Widow Waltz". I
was so overwhelmed by this music and the musicians. I
only taped the last 5 minutes when the concert finished.
Right away I went to get my TV guide to see the name of
the program. I found it was "From Holland with Love".
I regularly kept checking for when it will play again,
so I could tape the whole concert. It played on PBS
stations again, and I was glued to my TV. I found out
who this handsome and charming man was, and his name was
Andre Rieu.
Then in 1997 KTEH announced that he was coming to the
Bay Area, so I decided to go and see his live show in
the Concord Pavilion. It was the best night of my life.
I can hardly wait to see him again this December (2005)
in San Jose.
I have all of his CD's, DVD's, and share them with
friends and relatives. Most weekends I bring my DVD's to
the retirement home where the ladies can watch him on
the big screen. They love him, and so do the visitors.

My Dear Andre Friends,
What am I thankful for this year?
What blessings come to mind?
My dear friends and relations,
so loving and so kind.
Each time I see the sunrise,
And the beauties of the day,
The unexpected little joys
I find along the way.
What am I thankful this year?
For the joys that Andre's music brings
and the friends around the world.
I have so much to thank God for,
I don't know where to start,
I only know he walks with me,
And lives within my heart!
Love,
Theresa M. Budesa
